Lora Boehm, owner:
After studing drama at the Hollywood High magnet program for the performing arts, Lora graduated in 1994 from San Jose City College with a degree in Cosmetology after being on the President’s and Dean’s lists all three semesters. She assisted for about 10 minutes, then went to work for Hubert Braun in Cupertino, California; the The Hairshapers Club in Milpitas; then Carlton Hair in the Burbank Media City Center. After that Lora worked at the Fox & the Hair in Monrovia before moving on to The Big Tease. She originally wanted to be a sign language interpreter for the deaf, but being dyslexic and a terrible speller, her finger spelling would have driven the deaf to kill her, so she turned to hair. Lora’s specialties are long hair, color correction, and updos.

Kelly Dorl:
Kelly grew up on the north side of Chicago in a neighborhood known as Lakeview. After attending Pivot Point International Beauty Academy in Chicago from September 1992 through April 1994, she was employed at a prestigious downtown Chicago salon named Trio, where she spent the next six months as a color apprentice studying different techniques of color application, color correction, individualized color creations for clients, perms, relaxers, anything to do with color and chemical services.

Around Thanksgiving 1997 Kelly moved to Los Angeles, where she furthered her education at Moro Beauty School in Glendale. Kelly has been with The Big Tease since its founding in 2003.

Jenna Cordova-Kelly:
A Monrovia High School graduate, class of 2000. Jenna moved onto Citrus Community Cosmetology College and graduated in 2001 with a California certification in cosmetology. Since college, Jenna has continued her training in many areas. She has been trained in Enjoy, Loreal, Chi, Redkin, Wella and Marix color lines. Her certifications include Yuko and Paul Brown straightening systems and Pivot Point. She has training in most Extension systems, Kera Tip, Flash Point and temporary.

Jenna is a studio certified Make-Up artist and her specialties include; weddings photo shoots and doing Vintage styles, Nails and Make-Up. Like the rest of the stylists at The Big Tease she has dogs, Lola, Miles and Ella.

Cate Manzo:
Cate Manzo (a.k.a. Cate the Great) is one of the featured stylists at The Big Tease Salon. She has been a Glamour Technician since the early 90’s and has been all over the country “bangin’ hair”. She is a trained educator and has performed for many styling teams. Cate loves color and takes great pride in her ability to match the perfect color effect with the lifestyle of the client. She believes in being a full service technician and is one of two hair removal specialists in the salon. She prides herself in vintage hair styling, perms and updo’s.
